About Ralf
After twenty five years of experience as a Cameraman/D.P., working with teams of diverse cultural backgrounds and schlepping equipment through over fifty countries, Ralf is still absolutely in love with this business. In a National Geographic project back in 2007, he crossed fifteen borders in five months to get to the story. When he was ready for a break, ARTE Channel (France) called him and took him on the road again for another four weeks. It is just the life he dreamed of since he was nine years old, when he used to watch BBC documentaries back in his native Chile.
It has been all about cameras and lights since then. It doesn’t matter who the client is, Ralf considers them all important and takes his work to the heart. He has done projects for Discovery, National Geographic, PBS, Smithsonian Institution, Al-Jazeera Media Network, TruTV, NHK-Japan, Travel Channel and many others. But what impress him are not the names, but the passion of the people behind and in front of the camera. All directors and producers have a visual dream, but Ralf’s camera skills, vision and easy-going personality can assure them that they will see it happen.
Editing is also a strong part in Ralf. Projects for Discovery, Nat Geo, Smithsonian Institution, PBS and dozens of independent productions have made him a very round, complete professional. A professional that, after 20 years, knows that there still so much to see, so much to learn … so much to shoot and edit.
